Brant Bennett attended SIAST Palliser Campus in Moose Jaw where he graduated with a Diploma in Electrical Engineering Technology. Brant is currently a member in good standing with the Saskatchewan Applied Science Technologists and Technicians.

Brant participated in the COOP program and completed a four-month internship with Western Canada Lottery Corporation as a remote technician and a four-month internship with ATCO Electric in Grande Prairie. At WCLC he installed, tested and commissioned VLT terminals across Saskatchewan. At ATCO, he assembled, tested and upgraded meters for remote communication.

After graduation, Brant began work at Wardrop Engineering where he was part of a multi discipline team of engineers & technologist in the Cameco Major Projects Engineering Servicing team.  Brant left Wardrop to work for Hinz Automation and worked for six months in the Substation group under Ross Wallster before returning to Cameco Major Projects until 2008.

In 2008 Brant focused on Controls and Automation working mostly on SaskPower projects at Boundary Dam and Poplar River.  In 2013 Brant returned to Switching Station/Substation Design. In 2016 he started working with NEES Consulting where he currently works as a Project Lead & Senior Designer.  His design work includes; greenfield switching station design, the capacity increase of switching stations, feeder protection upgrades, transformer protection upgrade s, RTU & HMI replacement and relay replacements.

Brant enjoys reading, camping, wakeboarding, water skiing, snowmobiling and attending Roughrider games.
