Najwa Pattw, P.Eng.
Najwa Pattw has over 15 years of international experience in the field of electrical engineering. She received her Bachelor of Science and Engineering in Electrical Engineering from the University of Mousel, Iraq in 2000. She is currently registered as a Professional Engineer with the Association of Professional Engineers and Geoscientists of Saskatchewan.
In Iraq, Najwa began her career as an electrical engineer at The SDMO Power Plant & Substation with capacity of eight generators (9.6MW total). She was responsible for maintenance, operation, developing designs for control panels and organizing shifts and staff schedules. Najwa supervised up to 45 employees while in this position. Najwa was also responsible for hiring and training new hires. She has completed various training courses for operation and management of the SDMO Power Plant.
Najwa moved to Canada and began her electrical engineering career here with SaskPower in Saskatoon as a Project Engineer. She was responsible for PML design, feeder module updates, Load Flow calculations, Short Circuit Analysis and Coordination Analysis.
Najwa also worked with Rutter Hinz/Rockwell Automation as a Project Engineer. Over the years she completed many substation & switching station design projects from 25kV to 230kV. These included the capacity increase, greenfield substation & switching station design, feeder protection upgrades, HMI implementation, transformer protection upgrades and relay replacements.
In January 2016, Najwa began working as a Project Engineer with NEES Consulting. She continues to work primarily in conceptual and detailed design of substations and switching stations up to 230kV. She has also been Project Lead on various projects.
Najwa also loves sewing, designing clothes, and drawing.
